Makélé Saïdi

AMALI Programme Director

Makélé Isimbi Saïdi, a lawyer by training, is passionate about fostering inclusive economic growth and climate resilience across Africa.

She holds an MA (summa cum laude) in International Affairs from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School, and a BA in Political Science from the University of British Columbia.

She has contributed her legal expertise to international NGOs, the Supreme Court of Rwanda, and the reinsurance industry. Her development experience includes supporting the Deputy Director General at the World Trade Organization, Geneva, on development and informal trade; advising the Permanent Representative of Rwanda to the United Nations in New York; and working on human capital development at the African Development Bank in Tunis and Abidjan. Throughout her career, Makélé  has championed initiatives focused on empowering youth and fostering private sector engagement.
