Wild Ndipo is married with children, embodying a holistic approach to leadership that considers both personal and community well-being. In 2014, he ascended to the role of Deputy Mayor, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to public service. His experience spans various positions in urban planning and development, where he actively contributed to shaping policies and programs that addressed the unique needs of Lilongwe’s vibrant community.

Elevated to the position of Mayor in 2017, Wild Ndipo became a driving force behind transformative initiatives, emphasizing sustainable development, improved infrastructure, and enhanced public services. His leadership style, characterized by a hands-on and community-centric approach, ensures that the aspirations of Blantyre’s residents take center stage in municipal policies.

Beyond his official duties, Mayor Ndipo has been an advocate for decentralization and a participatory approach. Serving as the President of the Malawi Local Government Association from 2017 to 2022, he also contributed as a board member to the Malawi Local Government Finance Committee for three years. His involvement in the Finance Committee with UCLGA Pan African Council and training as a peer reviewer underscore his commitment to advancing effective governance practices.
